FEXTE study conducted with the CEA is delivered. There is a generalized, global awareness regarding the unavoidable need to use energy sources different from those that society has been using since the beginning of its industrialization.
The two main reasons that lead to the use of unconventional alternative energies (renewable or green) seem to be evident: first, the result of the use of traditional energy sources is pernicious for the conservation of life on our planet (environmental impact: greenhouse effect, deforestation, destruction of different natural systems, excessive accumulation of waste, etc.); second, fossil energy sources (oil, coal, gas) are not inexhaustible.
A cooperation agreement was signed between the National Planning Administrative Department (DNP), the French Development Agency (FDA), and the Commissariat à l’énergie atomique et aux energies alternatives (CEA) called FEXTE (Fund of Technical Knowledge and Exchange of Experiences). The purpose of this agreement is, among others, to analyze the technical and regulatory, legal and social framework in which the advanced technologies that allow the integration of Non-Conventional Renewable Energies (ERNC) in Colombia are inserted.
ALO & Partners and CEA elaborated the study of the barriers that the operators find for the implementation and expansion of the NCRE.
The document exposes and analyzes the legal, regulatory, social and economic barriers that exist in Colombia for the introduction of these technologies.
The study is located in three themes:
• solar energy for non-interconnected areas (ZNI)
• electric mobility
• storage systems coupled to the network.
Very soon the operators involved and interested in the subject will be able to know the results of this study.
